If a person starts becoming addicted to smoking is it really hard to stop?

Like how is it hard for them to stop? Do they have an urge?

For me it’s like an emptiness, and an emptiness that I really hate. But I know that by smoking a cigarette I can satisfy and fill this emptiness. Ugh.

You know that feeling you get when you’re bored out of your mind and can’t find a fix for it…its like that except smoking is the only thing that will satisfy it.

The cravings for nicotine parrallels the cravings for Heroin, it is that strong. The tobacco companies now put in their cigarettes the substance that is found in crack cocaine, thus making cigarettes more addictive than ever. The result is making it harder to quit and you are basically giving your hard earned money to them. I quit just over a year ago and will never go back.

some people don’t get addicted, most do though. i never got addicted and i smoke only occasionally, but my brother smoked for years and tried the patch and everything and he never could seem to stop. when he was trying to quit he was always in a bad mood. if you’re afraid of getting addicted then i’d definitely not consider ever starting to smoke..if you have to worry about the consequences then that’s a red light right there not to start.

With addiction there’s always an urge. That doesn’t mean you can’t stop. However, it’s nearly impossible to stop by yourself. If you have friends who don’t smoke, talk to them and ask them to help you break the habit. Smoking is not only addictive, but it’s also hazardous to your health. Trust me. Three of my grandparents died from diseases related to smoking.

I gave up trying to quit, after forty years of smoking and 2 weeks of trying an Alternative Smoking Device, I liked the product so much I became a distributor for it. I still get my High Nicotine but in a safer fashion.
I devoted one page on my website for a short description of the product. A link on that page will tell you more if you need it. http://www.teamdepotmichigan.org/novemberstopsmoking.htm
