How will the military know how many times you’ve used a drug?

I’ve read some things that you need a waiver in order to get in if youve done a drug more than 25 times. im a senior in highschool and have stopped smoking marijuana. but in my past ive smoked over 100 times am i disqualified and how will they know?

Why on earth would you tell them that? They won’t know and will never find out if you never tell them. Trust me if they kicked out everyone on Active Duty right now who had smoked weed (or worse!) more than 25 times, and never said anything about it, we’d all be pretty screwed. Generally I would not encourage anyone to lie, but believe me recruiters want to be lied to about this. I am not trying to screw you over here, trust me dude just tell them you’ve never touched the stuff.

They won’t. They are counting on people to be stupid and fall for their scare tactics. My recruiter set me straight on what they need to know.

If you are getting a Secret clearance they usually call your references. For a Top Secret, they go all out and have an investigator go around to see if there is anything you left out. One of your buddies could slip up and tell on you.

Honestly, your chances of getting caught are pretty low. However, I won’t encourage you to lie. I’ll just tell you to stay away from it because drug use is not compatible with military service and one urinalysis failure can get you kicked out. They are random, so you won’t have time to mask your urine.

They won’t unless you tell them. Or if you fail your initial drug test. If you don’t have anything on your record regarding drug use, don’t even mention it. Recruiters want to get you in with as minimal speedbumps as possible. If you quit smokin, just stay clean, pass the whiz quiz, and as far as they know you never smoked. They don’t interrogate anyone about that. No lie detectors. Wait until your in. ALOT of servicemen have used something before they joined. Best of luck.

They won’t know. Some recruiters make it clear through gestures and remarkes that you should say never no matter how many times you have done drugs, and others will try to scare you using lame thing such as "We can pull a hair from your had and have it tested. If you have used drugs in the past ten years we will know!" But that is bs. You take a couple piss tests and that is it.

Don’t they do blood tests and another tests to see whether you’ve done drugs?
